Tell me, when we were so young
Did it mean so much to you?
Leaving behind a world of content
So far from what we imagined
Did it mean so much to you?
All the promises set in stone
Did it mean so much to you?
This is the end of what started when you left me broken hearted
No more days will I spend waiting here for you
Now that all is said and done I will stand my ground
No more days will I spend waiting here for you
Did it mean so much to you?
Years pass by and I catch myself thinking where did things go wrong?
Regrets come and go, yet this was not mine to call
Where did things go wrong?
Still I'm wondering why
Where did things go wrong?
All the promises set in stone
All the promises cast aside
This is the end of what started when you left me broken hearted
No more days will I spend waiting here for you
Now that all is said and done I will stand my ground
No more days will I spend waiting here for you
Did it mean so much to you?
This is the end

Regrets come and go, yet this was not mine to call
Where did things go wrong?
Still I'm wondering why

All the promises set in stone

This is the end
This is the end
This is the end

It's hard to describe why I love this album so much. It's just perfect in every way. Every track is so spectacular, but Knives and it's build up to that spectacular heavy part just takes the cake. Fantastic album from a fantastic band that needs to get back together. whatwasallthisfor
The Minneapolis band add a horn section, a running surrealist allegory about walls, and an occasional nod to the elegiac to their electroshocked post-punk. Bandcamp Album of the Day Mar 4, 2024

I generally appreciate the album by album move away from hardcore towards extreme metal. Yet for me personally, this is where the balance is perfect. Kind of like Metallica's Ride the Lightning: subsequent albums were more sophisticated and complex, yet less intense, too. Great to come back to, again and again. jornfin
